About Us:

The run for Crohns campaign was first thought up by our runner, David Hall. He came to Brad about the idea of running for a cause and in watching Brad deal with Crohns for so long he had decided it was a great cause to run for. Since then the team of two have been putting together this campaign.

David Hall:

Our Runner & Co-Creator

David Edmond Hall, born April 28th 1984, grew up in South Surrey about a ten minute drive from White Rock Beach. Growing up David spent a lot of his free time playing video games and watching TV. By the time he was graduating high school he weighed over 300 pounds.

It wasn’t until two years after high school that he decided he it was time to change his lifestyle. Over the next 6 months he would stand to lose 120 pounds, by changing his eating habits and getting regular exercise. It was then that he decided to try his hand in running.

Starting out slow and with someone much more advanced than he was, he never felt like it was something he was really that good at, but it made him feel good so he decided to continue with it. For the next year he would do light running off and on. Never creating much of a schedule for it, just doing it when he was in the mood for it.

Then one day, pretty much instantaneous, he made the decision that he was going to run a marathon. It would be, to him, the mark of his complete transformation. After he would finish it though, he felt that something was missing and knew it wasn’t the end.

A few months later he approached his long time friend Brad with an idea for a run that would raise funds and awareness for the disease Brad has lived with as long as David has known him, Crohns. Now David is running for a cause he feels he’s found what was missing, and is ready to finish what he started 4 years ago.

Brad Watson:

Photographer/Videographer/Co-Creator

Brad was diagnosed with crohn's when he was fifteen years of age. He had spent the majority of his time in and out of hospitals trying to cope with crohns when he had decided that he needed to bring awareness to the disease and the hopeful cure. Until only a couple years ago he wasn’t able to deal with it.  For the last 2 years he has been on Remicade, wonder drug it is not, but it helps to hold the disease in its place for a majority of his everyday life.  He found out shortly after starting the drug that he couldn't just be normal again with the treatment like he had thought he would be. Over the last couple years he had been adjusting his diet every month picking things out that mess with his system.

Over the years he has found several ways to try and cope with his crohns on a more mental level which has included Photography & Photography. It has been his goal for the last few years to do what he could to bring awareness to such a debilitating disease. This started with his crohns awareness psa which could be found in our media section under videos.
